Heyday (from Edinburgh)
Heyday were a band formed by Stephen Harrison in Edinburgh, Scotland, 1984/5. Heyday was one of the bands Ronnie Torrance (drums) and David Weddell (bass guitar) were in after Josef K. They were in a group with Nick Currie (who later became known as Momus) called The Happy Family prior to Heyday. Stephen had been in Metropak. The other members of the band were Bill Ayton (keyboards) and Rab Russell (guitar). Bill Ayton is now an Artist in the USA : http://www.ayton.net
Heyday played a number of gigs in Edinburgh and had some support from Radio Forth who played tracks on Radio Forth.... In July 2010 Close Up Records Uk released a 9 track pyhsical release of Heyday recordings called 'Edinburgh' and available to buy here from the home page. Since the time when Heyday were active there have been a couple of other bands with the same name and so to avoid confusion the band in known here and on several other sites as Heyday (from Edinburgh)
